Become an Associate Board Member of Sarah’s Inn

Are you looking for an opportunity to give back to your community in a tangible way? Are you interested in gaining leadership experience? Do you want to make new connections?

Consider joining the Associate Board of Sarah’s Inn to help lead the organization to reach its goals in education, advocacy, fundraising and member recruitment. Efforts support Sarah’s Inn’s overall mission of improving the lives of those affected by domestic violence and breaking the cycle of violence for future generations


Who makes up the Associate Board?

The Associate Board is comprised of young professionals, community members, and supporters from Chicagoland who have a passion for advocacy and awareness around domestic violence. 


What exactly do Associate Board members do?

  • Serve as an ambassador for Sarah’s Inn in the community
  • Further the awareness of and support for domestic violence 
  • Attend a monthly Associate Board meeting
  • Attend, plan, and participate in Associate Board events, like Cruise for a Cause
  • Raise at least $250 per member for the Sarah’s Inn annual fund by means of personal donation or event ticket sales
  • Help identify and recruit Sarah’s Inn Associate Board members to maintain a strong talent base 

Why Sarah’s Inn?

Sarah’s Inn is a community-based non-profit 501c3 organization whose mission is to improve the lives of those affected by domestic violence and to break the cycle of violence for future generations. Our services and initiatives focus on ending relationship violence through domestic violence crisis intervention, community education, and violence prevention programs for youth.
